Key Responsibilities
The role of Interface Coordinator looks somehow similar to the Interface Manager. In small to moderate Oil & Gas Projects, the responsibilities of the Interface Manager cover Project Interface Coordination. However, in Mega-Projects, it is necessary to have one or more Interface Coordinators who report to the Interface Manager. The Interface Coordinator is preferable to be of Mechanical Background or other discipline with enough Oil & Gas Projects’ experience.
His major roles are as following:
-Supports the Interface Management Process.
-Updates the Interface Coordination Plan and share the project Interface Meetings.
-Provide project leadership and management over the day-to-day activities in meeting the goals and objectives of the Interface Plan to ensure the project remains efficient, effective, on schedule and within budget.
-Ensure all parties are implementing the approved Interface Matrix Plan, including scope definition and acceptance criteria.
-Monitor and escalate issues and risks to senior management as appropriate.
-Identifies, implements, and communicates lessons learned from other efforts.
