ASIAPOWER OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 6.30 PM (MONDAY TO SATURDAY)
-Works closely with Quay Crane operator and Ship Traffic Assistant (STA).
-Conduct pre-operation meeting with crane operator, STA and lashing workers to prepare necessary materials for working bays.
-Records in Handheld Terminal (HHT), Vehicle Mounted Terminal (VMT), the identification of each container discharged/loaded from/to vessel.
-Update the crane log with necessary details during discharge or loading of special containers such as DG, RF, OOG cargoes.
-Always ensures availability of terminal trailers under the crane.
-Checks condition of all containers during vessel discharge and loading operation. Records damages in HHT/VMT and crane log using the correct damage codes, prepare detailed damage report form in case major container damages are observed and notify area in-charge for proper endorsement with relevant authorities.
-Ensures that export containers are being loaded on the planned location on board by coordinating with the STA and quay crane operator.
-Records details about type of gears used to manage out of gauge (OOG) containers. Also record details about re-stow, movement of special type containers to avoid possibilities of revenue leakage.
-Maintains record of crane performance in the crane log when operation commenced and completed.
-Ensuring that seals of containers are checked so that they are not tampered with and ensuring that all damages to containers are properly recorded, and signature of concerned agency/official obtained before the end of the shift.
-Closely coordinate with planning and control staff at all times.
-Ensure SOPs are always implemented both in wharf and on board the vessel.
