JOB DESCRIPTION
-Collection of equipment details of all type of instrument items and performs the maintenance on, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic Instruments and control systems (PLC’s DCS’s SCADA), Fire and gas monitoring and protection system, Plant/ Instrument Air supply/ drier packages, solar power based wellhead surface safety systems, rotating equipment etc., from site drawings and catalogues for preparing the data to input in Materials and Ebeams.
-Development of equipment numbers as per EBEAMS Equipment Numbering.
-Collection of Preventive Maintenance data from Maintenance Manuals and formatting them to meet EBEAMS requirements.
-Identifying requirement of manpower and materials for Preventive Maintenance Programs.
-Performs and/or direct preventive maintenance, defined in the preventive maintenance programme.
-Diagnoses problems or potential problems with the control system -Pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical and DCS related.
-Performs preventive maintenance on instrument control systems and protective switches.
-Requisitions supplies such as tools and test equipment instrument maintenance.
-Co-ordinates instrument repair and test work.
-Promptly reports the events and the activities to the concerned supervisor in terms of manpower/spares utilized.
-Carries our final inspection and test on plant/equipment following repair. This includes checking for satisfactory working and making final instrumentation adjustments.
-Ensures full safety measures in accordance with Company’s Fire and Safety Regulations.
-Records /logs daily report, calibration activities and spares utilization.
-Carries out other related duties such as obtaining excavation/work permits in accordance with the Company’s regulations.
-Attends to call-out duties after normal working hours.
SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Qualifications
-Have Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation/ Electronics or Higher Secondary or equivalent.
-Working knowledge of PC software e.g., Excel, Access etc.
-Have three (3) years’ experience in similar facilities to those specified within the Technical Specification with minimum two (2) years in similar position for Degree Holders.
-Have five (5) years’ experience in similar facilities to those specified within the Technical Specification with minimum three (3) years in similar position for Diploma Holders.
-Have seven (7) years’ experience in similar facilities to those specified within the Technical Specification with minimum three (4) years in similar position for Higher Secondary.
-Have the skill to check, calibrate and repair pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic instruments and controls and protective interlocks.
-Be able to complete assigned jobs without supervision.
Sound exposure to some of the following:-
-PLC such as Siemens, Hima, Allen Bradley etc.
-DCS’s such as Rosemount RS-3/ Foxboro IAS/ Honeywell TDC3000 and like.
-Protective system, startup/shutdown sequences vibration and governing/engine management
systems of Gas Turbines and related interlocks.
-Exposure to protective system, start up logic, vibration and governing system of reciprocating/ centrifugal machines.
-Should be familiar with Oil industry Safety standards.
-Be able to speak/read/write English.
-Supervises the works of the Contractor's personnel working under him
-Be able to read P&ID’s, loop diagrams etc.
-Should have valid Kuwaiti driving license.
