Competency Requirements
Qualification:
Degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
Degree should be from an NBA approved university or college.

Experience: 
Minimum Ten (10) years of Instrumentation maintenance experience in oil & gas facilities.

Other Skills: 
-Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
-Report writing skills.
-Emerson DeltaV system experience is an added advantage.

Responsible For:
Project Description: Alghanim International, Kuwait is looking for a competent and well experienced Maintenance Engineer Instrumentation for one of its projects awarded by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). This project is currently under execution and it will be commissioned in March 2020. It is an upstream oil, gas and water separation project with main focus on water separation, water treatment and pumping through RTRP network. Alghanim International is executing the project on 4 out of the 10 Gathering Centers located in Burgan Oilfield of South Kuwait. Treated effluent water will be pumped to an existing facility of KOC for disposal/injection of effluent water produced from Gathering Centers.

Responsibilities:
-Responsible for managing and leading a team to deliver safe, optimal and environmentally sound instrumentation maintenance of the facility.
-Co-ordinate with other discipline Maintenance Engineers, Operations In-charge, Supervisors and Plant Operators for smooth O&M of facilities.
-Responsible for uninterrupted operation (respective to instrumentation maintenance) of an oil, gas and produced water facility and shall work in day shift as well as "on call" basis whenever required.
-Shall perform the maintenance works in a prudent, reasonable, and efficient manner.
-Provides specialized technical guidance and support in troubleshooting and failure analysis of a wide range of instrumentation systems and equipment in the plant such as DCS, ESD system, F&G system, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, indicators, control systems, etc.
-Shall be fully experienced in handling the process trips and various levels of shutdowns.
-Shall be fully experienced in equipment interlocks, cause & effects and logics.
-Shall be aware of in plant operations and sequence of operations (process and utilities).
-Shall be fully experienced to identify the root cause for trips and levels shutdowns.
-Shall be fully experienced in preventative, scheduled and breakdown maintenance.
-Shall prepare the material requirement list related to the instrumentation maintenance.
-Shall ensure adequate availability of resources for instrumentation maintenance.
-Responsible for updating and maintaining all instrumentation maintenance records of the facility.
-Responsible for following the client’s approved standard operations and maintenance procedures.
-Liaises with manufacturer's representatives as required to discuss and rectify any equipment deficiency during O&M period.
-Responsible for following the standard maintenance procedure (SMP) and safe maintenance practices.
-Shall be responsible for major repairs and ordering of replacement spares.
-Shall be fully experienced in fine tuning of instruments.
-Ensures that all instrumentation maintenance services are done safely and efficiently in accordance with the internationally recognized engineering standards.
-Responsible for following up and timely completion of preventative maintenance.
-Ensures and optimize the equipment reliability.
