ASIAPOWER OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 6.30 PM (MONDAY TO SATURDAY)
Mission:
Inspect, diagnose and perform major and minor repair work on motors, pumps, hydraulic equipment, compressors, controls, valves and related equipment
Duties:
-Repairs valves, pumps, and steam traps.
-Reassemble repaired pumps to specified requirements, using hand tools.
-Working under the direction and supervision of others; perform preventative maintenance on any of the following operation systems: hydrolysis, distillation, fractionation, separations, logistics, or utilities.
-Inspect and test equipment to locate damage or worn parts and assist in the diagnosis of malfunctions.
-Read work orders or blueprint drawings or P&ID’s to understand issue and to determine required repairs.
-Use proper mechanical equipment and tools.
-Assist in the rigging and lifting units or parts such as pumps, motors or generators, using cranes or chain hoists, or signal crane operators to lift heavy parts or subassemblies.
-Assist with process equipment assembly and installation.
-Perform lubrication on equipment as needed and directed.
-Perform flange work as directed.
-Complete data entry into the work order system as required.
-Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education:
Shall possess a trade certificate from a Vocational Training Centre with full apprentice-ship training in petrol or diesel engines, pumps and rotating machinery.
Work Experience:
-Shall have a minimum 5 years experience as a diesel and pump mechanic. Shall be able to repair and install all types of diesel or petrol engines and pumps.
-Experience in Overhauling centrifugal pumps - alignment - utilize laser alignment and diala gauge
Other Requirements:
-Ability to understand sketches and technical drawings related to his trade
-Ability to speak and write in English
