OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
General Description:
Coordinates and provides classroom training for a the Umm Al Houl Power (UHP) Independent Water and Power Plant multi-shaft combined-cycle power plant utilizing Siemens turbines and control systems. Must have the ability to self perform all training required the is not provided by OEM staff. Will interact with Samsung management, OEM technical advisors, and client operations staff as necessary to ensure the successful training of the UHP facility operations team.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct classroom and on-the-job operator training
-Develop lesson plans for Operator/Staff training classes as per the EPC Contract.
-Independently coordinate with Samsung engineering and OEM contacts to gather information for the program
-Independently compile, copy, file and issue all correspondence necessary to develop, execute and complete the program
Minimum Skills / Knowledge:
-Excellent understanding of all power plant instrumentation and controls, functions and interrelationships with all plant process.
-Computer literate with Microsoft and various software applications.
-Ability to review and understand multi-discipline (mechanical, electrical, control systems, etc.) drawings and documents.
-Ability to review and understand OEM supplier drawings and information.
-Excellent written and spoken English language skills
Education / Experience:
-Bachelor degree in engineering preferred or equivalent technical degree with additional related experience.
-Fifteen years of commissioning and/or operating and maintenance experience for combined-cycle power plants
Addition Desirable Skills and Experienced:
-Arabic language skills
-Korean language skills
-Middle East working experience
-IWPP experience
-Masters degree in engineering
