Qualifications
Degree in an engineering discipline (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.) preferably in Mechanical Engineering and membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years with experience in oil & gas maintenance, shutdown management and coordination in an oil & gas company, petrochemical company or large contracting organisation.
Roles and Responsibilities
-To plan and coordinate all pre shutdown/shutdown activities schedules across the clusters.
-The shutdown coordinator is responsible for working with the client shutdown team, project and construction management to agree the efficient implementation and execution of shutdown construction activities
-He/she shall report to the Maintenance and Integrity Manager.
Objectives
-Planning and implementation of shutdown activities
-Ensure shutdown plans and priorities are communicated across the CONTRACTOR teams and being worked to.
-Liaise with site maintenance teams regarding shutdown activities.
-Ensure all shutdown jobs are planned in P6.
-Implement principles of CONTRACTOR "on track" shutdown management guidelines.
-Input to asset plans to coordinate offshore pre shutdown activities with resource availability.
-Update shutdown tracking registers.
-Provide accurate durations and manning requirements for overall shutdown activities.
-Monitor progress against plan and highlight any concerns.
-Provide constructability guidance to engineering team as and when required. Conduct regular/frequent site visits for shutdown construction surveys and audits.
-Attend regular material tracking meetings to monitor shutdown material delivery dates.
-Coordinate CONTRACTOR vendors and sub-contractors during pre-shutdown and shutdown period.
