Job Description:
ASIAPOWER OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 6.30 PM (MONDAY TO SATURDAY)

Scope of Responsibilities
Assist in the Management and Administration of all activities related to pre and post award on contractual, legal and commercial issues related to:
-Contracts with Clients, Subcontracts with Subcontractors.
-Partakes in and supports the Project Manager in the Risk and Opportunity review process including, identification, mitigation and management of contractual/legal risks.

Primary Duties
-Supports and assists in management of all activities related to administration of subcontract/contracts including risk identification, risk mitigation and risk management during the pre and post award stage.
-Supervise/liaise with Contract Engineers/Quantity Surveyors and other commercial functions as required.
-Support the Project Manager in the initiation and preparation of variations and claims to Subcontractors and Client. Assist in defending, negotiating and resolving claims with Subcontractors and Client. Assist the Project Manager in compiling supporting documents for potential claims, preparing advance defense for issues that are likely to evolve during execution phase.
-Assist, evaluate and advise Project Manager on contractual conflicts and claims with subcontractors and clients. In the event of a dispute, advise on the company’s position, information required in defence of or in pursuance of such. 
-To review on a regular basis, company’s position after evaluating reports received from the project team in respect of discrepancies, anomalies, risk and opportunities and take necessary action.
-Assist in managing and/or co-ordinate with others on all activities related to contractual, legal, commercial and insurance issues related to company business, subcontracts, contracts during the post award stage.
-Assist in ensuring that the key contract terms and conditions are presented and understood by the Project Management and Commercial Team upon award of the Contract and also ensure that a proper handover takes place from the pre award team.
-Responsible in ensuring implementation and adherence to HSE and Quality System Procedures during the post award stage.
-Assist in ensuring that the commercial terms of all subcontracts/contracts are implemented correctly in the best interest of the Company;
-Assist in ensuring timely submission of contractual inputs and notices so as not to affect Company’s recovery or defensive position.
-Any other duty as directed by the Project Manager and/or Director Contracts.

Minimum Job Requirement
-Graduate university degree in Law, Business Administration or Engineering
-Minimum 10 years of work experience in pre and post award subcontract and contract administration, with predominant experience in the field of post award administration and management.
-Have experience in International markets relevant to the particular field of employment, particularly in the GCC region.
-Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with Subcontractors/Clients and Company staff.
-Possess excellent project management and time management skills.
-Has strong organizational skills and, particularly, a keen eye for detail.
-Excellent interpersonal skills.
-Can communicate proficiently and professionally in spoken and written English.
-Minimum 3 years of Gulf Experience must.
