OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
Basic Function:
Co-ordinates the activities of Electricians as planned and scheduled by the Foreman, Electrical. Provides technical assistance to electricians to install, maintain, service and repair electrical, instrumentation, air conditioning and distribution systems. Systems include power generation, central compressed air, sewage disposal, reverse osmosis, pumping stations etc.
Work Performed:
-Provides work direction to assigned electrical personnel.
-Allocates tasks to individual Electricians within the guidelines determined by the Electrical Foreman to ensure all electrical maintenance and repairs are efficiently carried out.
-Completes daily accomplishment reports summarizing the activities of each Electrician and submits to the Electrical Foreman for review and action
-Estimates material requirements for routine tasks. Calculates all necessary materials required to fully complete job request efficiently.
-Prepares Issue Requisitions (IR’s) for materials required and submits to the Electrical Foreman for authorization. Ensure IR’s are correctly completed and material requirements correctly recorded.
-Maintains records and writes reports of activities, including time sheets, fault and predictive maintenance reports.
-Determines transport requirements of the department and arranges transport for individual Electricians.
-Responds to breakdowns. Diagnoses and repairs electrical systems and ancillary equipment. Examines wiring diagrams and installation areas to plan layout of wiring systems.
-Connects electrical equipment to power supply. Installs, modifies maintains and repairs electrical equipment. Installs electrical equipment in accordance with approved specifications. Tests equipment to ensure compliance to specifications. Repairs defective electrical equipment. Tests electrical systems to enable diagnoses of electrical faults.
-Carries out all activities in accordance with company safety procedures and manufacturers’ recommendations, following all safety instructions and notices, and wearing protective equipment at all times.
-Participates in the training of Saudi nationals who may be assigned to his unit from time to time.
-Performs similar or related duties, such as estimating materials requirements etc.
Minimum Requirements:
-Completion of Secondary (12 years) education plus (2 years) formal trade certificate training.
-6 years related electrical maintenance experience within a mining organization.
-Fair knowledge of English.
