Job Summary
-Responsible for conducting and supervising inspection activities during overhauls, projects, and construction activities
-Responsible for all documentation such as: RFI, inspection reports, as found reports and final report
Main Duties & Responsibilities
To support DPSAr’s Goal in becoming the number one preferred supplier of power plant services in the KSA and Middle east.
Specific responsibility are:
-Perform engineering supervision and inspection as per required from management or client.
-Planning for the inspections before shutdowns as per scope of work, equipment’s manuals and international codes and preparing ITPs if required.
-Responsible for all the qualifications of the welders and the welding procedures.
-Managing and supervise the 3rd party during shutdown (NDT 3rd party (RT, UT, Eddy current,..), PWHT, Valves Calibration 3rd party, Qualification 3rd party)
-Responsible for collecting all the maintenance data and updates during shutdown daily.
-Responsible for performing all types of inspection for the critical equipment and prepare fact finding reports as per the manuals and codes.
-Responsible for preparing all the RFIs, as found reports, Inspection reports and final inspection reports for all the equipment during shutdown time.
-Reporting the site manager about all RFIs and inspections status daily.
-Maintaining hard and soft copy for all official documents.
-Responsible for all types of official communications with the client and inspection scheduling during shutdown.
-Responsible for performing the non-destructive examination if required.
-Coordinate with the headquarters regarding repair procedures and problem solving.
-Managing all the 3rd parties and inspections to be performed under safety requirements.
Qualification Profile
Education
B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
Professional Skills / Experiences
-Minimum 7 years’ experience in thermal power plants as QC Engineer for 300MW or above steam units.
-Familiar with all types of mechanical equipment and piping used in power plants.
-Must have NDE Five Methods certificates.
-Familiar with all the international codes and standards used in power plants (ASME31.1, ASME31.3, ASME IX, API570)
-Familiar with WPS, PQR and WPQ.
-Proficiency in MS Office and other computer skills.
-Must have A very good command of English language.
