OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead and manage on-site activities for both Level 1 Preventative and Level 1 Corrective maintenance of the S&T systems and to assist the Level 2 Engineers with Corrective actions. Organise and motivate the team so that work is undertaken safely, efficiently and to the relevant standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
-Coordination and hands-on management the on-site staff undertaking Level 1 Preventative maintenance for S&T and EM systems. Ensure this is undertaken safely at the appropriate frequency and in compliance with the appropriate Standards.
-Coordination and hands-on management of the on-site staff undertaking Level 1 Corrective maintenance for S&T and EM systems. Ensure this is undertaken safely and efficiently and in compliance with the appropriate Standards.
-Overall responsibility for on-site Level 1 maintenance teams. Accurately report all work completed/not completed and produce/maintain records as required.
-As required seek and take direction from Level 2 support services for failures that cannot be quickly rectified without expert assistance. Support the Level 2 Engineers.
-Responsible for identifying and reporting, what (if any) Spares Parts have been used and assisting the S&T TSMG Engineer in keeping inventory management System up to date.
-Promote the safety culture for S&T maintenance delivery teams that seeks to deliver world class safety, environment and attitude to safety throughout the team.
-Support the effective management of the S&T delivery teams through implementation of strategies that seek to provide a confident and competent workforce, focusing on training, assessment and development. Ensuring compliance with SAR standards. Contribute to personal development and that of others.
-Carry out work safely and in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures, method statements or other relevant instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Diploma degree in Electrical/ Electronic / Mechanical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE:
Essential
-At least 5 years relevant S&T and EM maintenance experience.
-Good knowledge in railway S&T and EM maintenance Substantial relevant experience of Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/ Computer Engineering
-Hands on maintenance experience.
Desirable
-Experience of arranging and implementing safe systems of work.
-Knowledge of how to organise and control the safe and efficient delivery of work.
-Able to demonstrate, promote and embed safe working behaviours within the team.
-Able to lead, motivate and direct a team. Knowledge of permanent way inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal techniques.
-Able and willing to drive vehicles as required by business need.
