Profile Summary
-Produce comprehensive schedules in various formats (Primavera) to suit different users or audiences.
-To lead the project control aspects of a number of assigned projects concurrently, maintaining dashboards, and progress nagement reports
-Analyze all project activities establishing well defined work activities, and create a detailed and properly sequenced project schedule
-Monitor actual job progress, compare to contract baseline and report progress against schedule to the project manager and client as appropriate
-Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with project objectives and guidelines. Industry specific experience in all facets and phases of a project: Engineering, Procurement, Construction,
Commissioning and Startup.
-Able to work to weekly/monthly deadlines Excellent problem resolution and troubleshooting skills. Good Analytical skills Database management and reporting Spreadsheet management, with good charting skills Involvement with change control functions & reporting Preferably experienced in multi-discipline engineering design environment as well as site based construction projects Good communication skills Interaction skills required to facilitate weekly reporting of progress Able to survey works and assess levels of completion.
-Develop the project cost control strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both client and contractor roles and responsibilities; - Adhere to the segment financial, business and project processes; - Address issues pertaining to project cost control procedures.
-Coordinate development and implementation of project work breakdown structure (WBS) / cost breakdown structure (CBS) in concert with Project Planning/Scheduling Engineer; - Participate in the development of project execution plans; - Participate in the development of estimates and studies within a project stage and for sanction.
-Coordinate preparation of cost risk analysis; - Review financial data related to accruals, invoice payments, purchase orders and material deliveries and other financial data.
-Link risk process to change process and estimate; - Coordinate and develop project work-in-place (WIP), commitment and estimate at complete (EAC) forecasts.
-Mitigate risk by adopting recovery strategies for any identified project delays
-Escalation of emerging risks to the assigned Project Manager
-Prepare "look ahead" schedules and reports for Client
-To work in collaboration with the Finance team to provide revenue and cost forecasts throughout the life cycle of the project/s
-Supporting any new pre-sales opportunity with the preparation of bid documentation and high level planning activities
-Attend project team and client meetings as and when required
-Any other reasonable duties as delegated by management
Essential Job Requirements
Qualification
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
Minimum of 10 years experience in Oil & Gas projects.
Required Skills
Proficient with PRIMAVERA, Risk Analysis and MS Office Program.
Preferred Skills
A responsible, self motivated, meticulous and resourceful team player with good organizational and communication skills.
