Purpose of the Job/Job Mission
Prepare and organize work in order to manufacture, repair, assemble or adjust parts. Manufacture parts using the right tools in compliance with the safety rules and procedures.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
-Read and interpret drawings, tables and rules to identify the dimensions, tolerances, and other forms of technical data to manufacture parts, and the nature of the materials.
-Select and prepare the necessary materials, measurement and control instruments and tools, manual or mechanical, necessary to perform a given task.
-Draw on the material surface and the lines and reference points necessary to perform the piece, using the proper equipment and making sure of their compliance with the plans, worksheet or part model.
-Preparation of parts for welding, covering operations from grinding chamfer preparation, assembly and locking parts taking into account the warping in the welding operation.
-Perform the part surface finish, grinding, polishing or sanding.
-Check the piece, visually and using measuring instruments during the different stages of manufacture, repair or assembly, carrying the control of sizes, shapes, surface states and other characteristics, comparing them with drawings and specifications.
-Keep quality of earning according to standard quality of company and / or collision clauses.
-Able to report of job results / progress.
-Start and terminates office hours according to company regulation.
-Use of appropriate protective equipment and compliance with safety rules set by the company.
-Ascertains safe working condition, healthy and environment in the work and reports condition of danger at supervisor.
-Obeys all related regulations of EHS in area job activity.
Position Requirements – Education, Experience, Competencies
-Promote the interests and image of the Company at all times and behave according to the Alstom Code of Ethics and Values
-To act according to the regulatory requirements of those bodies to which the organizational unit wishes to be accredited, e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025.
-To act according to defined Environmental, Health and Safety instructions, including general and company own rules.
-To undertake any other duty and responsibility as may be required by the Line Manager
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
Graduated from Senior High School or Education and training academic level or an equal.
Desirable:
Professional experience in Metallic construction.
Experience
Mandatory:
-Experienced for 3 years min as fitter in manufacturing sector, site or professional experience at the operational level locks in of construction of steel structures.
-Masters exercise marking (directly at job), cutting (gas cut, speed cutter), grinding (grinding disk, mounted stone/ osco), scarfing/ beveling tubes / plate, fit up / assembly (steel structure, plate work, boiler, and piping) hydrostatic test.
-Minimum understanding of Safety measures and PPE to be utilized.
-Understand and ability to read pressure parts drawings and apply it to the job.
-Understand Mathematics basics.
-Understand Isometric Drawings.
-Be able to do manual cutting and grinding.
-Familiar with the tools to be utilized in the fitting job.
Desirable:
Comprehends in read drawing, bending data sheet and material specification.
