Major / Degree
Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
Expertise / Skill
Quantity Surveyor with expertise in the following:
-Contracts Administration (specifically Subcontracts)
-Experience in Contracts Administration, doesn't need to be expert in FIDIC but knowledgeable in other form of Contracts, as HDEC have its own standard.
-Pre / Post Contracts Estimation
-Taking-off of quantities for checking Subcontract Payments
-Procurement (Subcontracting)
-Shall be able to search in the market for a suitable firm to carry-out the required Works Package
-Skill: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT)
-Gulf experience & Experience in Korean Companies preferred.
Experience
To have more than 5 years experience in medium to large-scale overseas project in one of the following positions working for a Main Contractor / Consulting Firm:
-Quantity Surveyor
-Contracts Engineer / Administrator
-Procurement Engineer
Role & Responsibility
Contracts Administration:
-Reviewing and checking Subcontractor's contractual responsibilities as per the existing Subcontract Agreements.
-Negotiating with awarded Subcontractor for the Contract Documents as per HDEC's standard form of agreement.
-Issuing Addendums to Agreements if required and coordinating to Subcontractors for the Addendum.
-Review of Variation / Change Order Applications from Subcontractors;
-Review of Subcontractor's Prequalification Documents and preparing for submittal to the Employer.
-Contractual correspondence writing.
-Quantity Surveying (Procurement):
-Review of Subcontractor's Payment Applications
-Issuance of RFQs (Request for Quotations) to prospective Subcontractors / Vendors as per the existing company list and or searching for other prospective Subcontractors / Vendors as per the required Works Package.
-Issuance of Work Orders and coordinating with Construction Team for its coordination
