MARINE DEPARTMENT
Education
-B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Environmental or Marine Disciplines.
-Certified to IMO level – Management of spill incidents.
-Trained in NEBOSH, IOSH or other internationally recognized safety standards.
Experience & Skills
10 years oil pollution response experience both on and offshore.
Primary Purpose of Job
-Manage the daily activities of an allocated response base.
-Identify and assess the hazards and risks of potential incidents in their operational area.
-Command emergency response teams from their base as well as controlling local authorities, contractors, international organizations and volunteers during larger operations.
-Conduct reviews of staff and contractors training and exercises, to ensure response readiness commitment. Lead, guide and mentor Pollution Base staff in all aspects of pollution response, act as a technical advisor to QP and other relevant parties.
