JOB DESCRIPTION
-Performs maintenance on instruments and control systems including microprocessor based systems, engine management systems, Rotating Equipments, Gas Turbines, Variable Speed Motors & Gas Compressors
-Diagnoses problems or potential problems with control system. Performs preventive maintenance on Equipments, control systems and protective systems.
-Co-ordinates instrument repair and test work.
-Reports the events and the activities to the concerned supervisor.
SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Qualification
-Diploma in Instrumentation/ electrical/ electronic with four (4) years of experience of which two (2) years in similar position or Secondary School certificate plus two (2) years-technical training with eight (8) year of experience of which four (4) years in similar position in Oil and Gas industry.
-Have relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry for maintenance of Instrument related to Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors. Should have work on Engine Management system.
-Have the skill to check, calibrate and repair, hydraulic Instruments, electronic instruments, Vibration system, Speed probes and controls and protective interlocks.
-Sound exposure in at least two systems from the following:-
PLC or ESD Systems (HIMA , Allen Bradley, ICS triplex)
DCS’s such as Rosemount RS-3/ Foxboro IAS/Honeywell and like.
Protective system, start-up/shutdown sequences, vibration and governing system of Gas Turbines such as interlocks Equipment.
-Be able to complete assigned jobs without direct supervision.
-Exposure to some of the following:-
Anti-Surge Control.
Vibration system including Bentley Nevada System 1.
Variable Speed Drives.
-Protective system, startup /shutdown sequences, vibration and governing system of Gas Turbines such as GE/Rolls Royce/Ruston and reciprocating compressor such as CB like.
-Should be familiar with Oil industry Safety standards.
-Be able to speak, read and write English.
