OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
Basic Function:
Carries out various basic duties related to collecting ore (rock) samples, bagging, tagging, etc. at the mine site.
Work Performed:
-Collects samples from sample drums, places them in bags and attaches appropriate tags.
-Drives to work site; ensures area is safe to start work; chips away at marked orebody (rock) to obtain samples; places such samples in appropriately tagged bags or boxes.
-Stacks boxes and/or bags in core yard as instructed.
-Distributes samples to designated parties as required.
-Carries out other similar or related duties such as painting core trays, retrieving diamond drill from bore holes, loading samples, cleaning core yard, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
-Completion of Intermediate (9 years) education.
-Up to 3 months on the job.
-Basic recognition of letters and numbers.
-Regular driving license.
