Requirement / Qualification
Major / Degree
Bachelor Degree / Master Degree in Engineering / Preferably with RICS or PMP certification
Expertise / Skill
-Solid experience in Claims and contract administration (SCL Protocol, FIDIC, etc.).
-Strong background in quantity surveying and risk management
-Well versed in value engineering with commercial aptitude in tendering subcontracts.
-Proficient Microsoft windows application skill. With adequate understanding to utilize necessary planning software (Primavera P6 proficiency is preferable but not necessarily required).
Reference (Experience)
-Well versed in construction contract administration; RICS (optional) or equivalent certification (PMP, CCP, etc.)
-Previous experience in settlement of claims is an advantage.
-Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience developed through substantial years of experience (8 to 10 years) in major construction projects
-Gulf experience & Experience in Korean Companies preferred.
Role & Responsibility
-Review and Check Contract Documents primarily related to claims (Subcontract claims).
-Responsible for managing all response to contractual correspondence related to: Subcontract correspondences (Respond to Subcontractor notices, claims, subcontract issues, Etc.).
-Assess the validity of sub-contractual claims and manage the negotiation of settlement for each existing or further claims which may arise.
-Assess the risks of claims on each subcontract and assist the engineering site team in recording information to assist in assessing possible claims.
-Manage the preparation of future subcontract for the project
-Assess any payment requests from the subcontractors and advise the project accountant accordingly.
-Identify any potential risks in Subcontracts (risk management).
