Primary purpose of job
The Senior Performance Engineer, OMC(R)/1 is a key position for QP refinery to provide specialist support to the refining management on operational excellence. This include organizing and monitoring initiatives implementation, improving people and work processes, performance management to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of refining business. The successful candidate will be responsible for charting a continuous improvement roadmap and ensuring monitoring of operational excellence to meet refinery's objectives. He would be working in teams of expertise in engineering, maintenance and production, making an important contribution to the analysis, design, and implementation of lean manufacturing and management systems. Using his background/specialization in implementing operational practices in the manufacturing and production processes, he should be well-verse in behavioral safety, process safety, reliability and cost optimization. His key role is to develop systems to maintain and sustain improvements, supporting committees and meetings, developing investment/business proposals for optimization of the Refinery. He will be the focal person to derive from company business plan to formulate IMS objectives derived from key focus areas, develop KPIs for various business systems in association with business system owners, in line with international standards for enhanced monitoring by line management.
Experience & Skills
Minimum 10 to 15 Years diverse experience in operations, maintenance, inspection and process engineering in a refinery.
Skills:
-Broad knowledge of all refining operations and experience of refinery work processes.
-Very Good command of English (both spoken and written) with report writing skills.
-Experience in working with multi disciplines and multicultural environment.
-Sound knowledge of HSE.
Education
B.Sc. in Engineering discipline, preferably in Chemical engineering.
