BASIC FUNCTION
Direct and supervise the work of Mechanical, Rotating & Maintenance Planning personnel in his charge; administer requisitions for maintenance supplies, special tools and equipment, maintain history records of equipment. Liaise and coordinate with KNPC on planning of work program. Co-ordinate work functions of subordinate staff. Monitor workplaces under his jurisdiction to ensure safe working conditions. Organize / Implement systematic maintenance of all equipment under his jurisdiction to meet Preservation goals.
WORK PERFORMED
-Planning of work program and scheduling of activities, work force and resources.
-Supervise the planning of systematic preservation maintenance.
-Supervise the preparing of forecast report for spares, special tools, and work force.
-Analyze and monitor the performance efficiency of the work and prepare progress and default analysis report as required
-Be able to make quick and sound decisions and to decide on necessity change preservation methodology or not
-Be capable of group communication to direct and control work he is responsible for.
-Preparation of various monitoring forms, minutes, reports, letters etc.
-Liaise with KNPC and participate in coordinating, planning and progress meetings as required.
-Be conversant with Works handled by Supervisor – Electrical & Instrumentation; guide them wherever required
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
-B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent relevant education.
-Minimum eight (8) years’ experience as Engineer in petroleum / petrochemical process plants with responsibility in maintenance of Mechanical & Rotating Equipment and skills / knowledge in the area.
-Firm knowledge of refinery process and operational requirement and knowledge of workshop techniques.
-Possess analytical capability to diagnose faults and trends by logical elimination.
-Understanding of preservation maintenance scheduling tech. and equipment, trouble shooting and analytical reporting.
-Working knowledge in application software such as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc.
-Read, write and speak English fluently.
