Mission
The Environmental Engineer is responsible to use the principles of engineering in order to develop technically sound solutions to environmental problems. He is also responsible to be involved in efforts to grow compliance with environmental public policy, optimize the utilization of resources and improve the quality of surrounding environment.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
-Provide system and component design that reduce negative impact on environment
-Serve as a technical advisor on environmental policies and standards to ensure regulatory applicability
-Conduct research and technical audits on environmental impact of project, analyse data and perform quality control checks
-Develop resources management schemes
-Provide systems technical evaluation
-Integrate latest technologies into systems
-Address problems and develop environmental solutions to prevent damage
-Collaborate with Management, Engineers, planners and experts
-Monitor progress and provide recommendations reports
-Conduct environmental audits based on ISO 14001 standard
-Document and maintain plans, requirement, protocols, permits and standard operating procedures
-Achieve quality, sales, revenue and profitability goals
-Gather all information related to ongoing activities and issues and create monthly reports for management review

Position Requirements – Education, Experience
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
-Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or related field or any 4-year course)
-Approved Saudi Aramco -Contractor Safety Officer
-Certification in OSHAS 18001, OSHA/NEBOSH & ISO 14001
-Membership in a recognized International Safety Organization
Desirable:
-Master’s Degree (Engineering or related field)
-Approved Saudi Aramco -Contractor Environment Officer
-Oil & Gas Mechanical/Pipeline Project experience is a high advantage
-Certification in OSHAS 18001, OSHA/NEBOSH & ISO 14001
-Knowledgeable of PME or GAMEP Standard
-Membership in a recognized International Safety Organization
Experience
Mandatory:
-Minimum 8 years working experience in HSE related to environmental inspection and auditing, with at least 5 years in oil & gas industry Training and seminars attended in Basic Occupational Health & Safety, Risk assessment, Job Hazard Analysis, Fire & Industrial Safety, First Aid, EAIA etc.
-Advanced knowledge of written and spoken English.
Desirable:
-Minimum 10 years working experience in HSE related to environmental inspection and auditing.
-Training and seminars attended in Basic Occupational Health & Safety, Risk assessment, Job Hazard Analysis, Fire & Industrial Safety, First Aid, EAIA etc.
-Advanced knowledge of written and spoken English.
