Sr.Planning Engineer (DCS) (AJ-202)
Description:
-Contributes to the development of the overall planning of the district cooling infrastructure in Qatar
-Collects market data on the building permits and scope out the overall growth in the requirement for district cooling services
-Analyses information and builds models and scenarios on the demand supply requirements
-Works closely with the permits team to collect regular information on new building permits and incorporate it in the planning process
-Conducts feasibility studies on proposals and do simulations to assess project viabilities
-Conducts market analysis to study plans and pricing frameworks used by private operators in Qatar, GCC and international
-Provides inputs into the pricing and tariff frameworks
-Studies plans and decides on areas to be served by DC as per priorities and visibility (economically) in coordination with Concerned Authorities in the country
-Develops integrated programs of all activities related to District Cooling for the State the of Qatar
-Coordinates with local authorities and international bodies to ensure the effective implementation of district cooling services in the State of Qatar
-Manages and participates in special department/section projects and assignments required
-Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9002 certification Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the District Cooling Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Master’s degree preferred More than 10 years of relevant experience in a similar industry and/or position
