Qualifications and Experience
Academic Qualification:
Degree holder in Accountancy (B.Com / M.Com) and or Certified Public Accountant.(CPA)
Professional Qualifications:
Must have an extensive training and exposure in financial management and analysis. Must be adept in developing accounting systems and must always be abreast to projected company financial positions. With Excellent English communication skills.
Work Experience:
At least 5 years work experience in the finance department gained from a Construction Industry.
-Experience in Gulf / Korean Companies preferred.
Age Range:
Minimum: 28 years, Maximum: 40 years.
Job Summary:
Supervision and review of work pertaining to receivables, payables, general accounting and payroll matters and preparation of various management reports in various project sites.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
-Supervision and training of staff as well as job allocation within each section of the Department namely payroll, payables, receivable, general accounting/reporting, fixed assets management and project administration.
-Ensures all invoices are prepared correctly as per the terms and condition of the contract.
-Monitor the activities of the timekeepers in the projects, to ensure that man-hours are correctly reported on the timesheets submitted to Head Office for payroll processing.
-Review the creditors / debtors aging analysis to ensure that all overdue invoices are being paid or collected promptly.
-Prepare various accounts receivables/payable, including monthly collection and payment forecast, labor and other reports required by Management from time to time.
-Ensure that all financial statements and reports are prepared timely to maximize the useful of the reports. Reviews all the financial statements and highlight to the Assignment Manager any abnormalities contained in the reports so that appropriate action can be taken promptly to rectify the situation.
-Assist Management in implementation of new accounting policies and procedures in the project sites. Appraise and make recommendations for improvement the existing procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the finance operations and management.
-Develop an appropriate filing system for all accounting records and other documents to facilitate retrieval.
-Performs other duties and functions required by immediate superior.
