JOB DESCRIPTION
-Performs maintenance on pneumatic and electronic instruments and control systems including microprocessor-based system.
-Diagnose problems or potential problems with the control system -pneumatic, electronic, hydraulic and electrical.
-Performs preventative maintenance on instrument control and protective devices.
-Requisitions instrument supplies, tools and test equipment.
-Co-ordinates instrument repair and test work.
-Carries out overhaul and servicing which shall include but not limited to alignment and calibration of pneumatic, electronic recorders, transmitters controllers, valve positioners, convertors switches and like.
-Follows and trouble-shoots faults on various types of instrument using diagnostic equipment and manufacture's maintenance manuals.
-Repair various test equipment i.e. H2S gas testes, salinity testers and like.
-Skilled in the use of tools and test equipment for repair works in variety of instruments.
-Possess knowledge to repair/overhaul control valves of Fischer/Masoneillan and like.
Qualifications
-Diploma in Instrumentation/ electrical/ electronic or equivalent with three (3) years of experience in similar facilities or have HSC plus ITC/ITI or two (2) years-technical training with five (5) year of experience of which three (3) years in similar position in Oil and Gas industry.
-Have relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry for installation, repair and maintenance of pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic metering instruments and control systems.
-Experience on Engine Management system.-Skill to check, calibrate and repair, hydraulic Instruments, electronic instruments, Vibration system, Speed probes and controls and protective interlocks.
-Have the skill to check, calibrate and repair pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic instruments and controls.
-Be able to complete assigned jobs without direct supervision.
-Be able to speak/read/write English.
Exposure to some of the following:-
-Anti-Surge Control.
-Vibration system including Bentley Nevada System 1.
-Variable Speed Drives.
-Protective system, startup /shutdown sequences, vibration and governing system of Gas Turbines such as GE/Rolls Royce/Ruston and reciprocating compressor such as CB like.
