JOB DESCRIPTION
Administrative
-Administers requisitions for maintenance supplies, special tools, plant and the like.
-Directs the work of personnel in his charge.
-Maintains equipment history and performance trending records.
-Prepares and submits daily activity report to the company’s representative.
-Compiles equipment/ System failure / Malfunction report and submits to the company’s representative.
-Provided failure Analysis of Instruments and suggest appropriate modifications.
-Must have valid Kuwaiti Driving License.
Operational
-Performs Day to day System checks. Analyse any malfunctions.
-Reports repetitive Alarm & Malfunctions. Knowledgeable in Alarm handing and management system.
-Supervises, plans and co ordinates activities for maintenance, safe operation & functionality of systems like DCS (Foxboro, Honeywell, Emerson), ESD (Hima, ICS Triplex), PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens), F & G System (ICS Triplex, GE Fanuc). Should have configuration experience of at least two systems from the above.
-Report the debugged error codes of Systems. Should able to handle Networking of different systems.
-Co-ordinates work functions of the Contractor’s personnel in his area of responsibility including all disciplines.
-Ensures the implementation of the routine/preventive/breakdown/shutdown maintenance and major overhaul programme by the contractor’s personnel to meet the maintenance goals both at site and in the workshop facilities.
-Organises in liaison with the Company’s Supervisor earliest completion of any major breakdowns in the field.
-Ensures personnel’s adherence to safe working.
-Continually reviews updated maintenance requirements/procedures.
-Implements surveillance system and monitors to ensure progress by proper manpower distribution in his area.
-Recommends improvements that can be done on plant and equipment to increase machine availability and maintainability.
-Compiles and presents area daily standby and call-out activity reports.
-Drives the Contractor’s vehicles as required.
-Ensures the best quality of maintenance works to the satisfaction of company’s representative. Work towards in achieving company strategies and targets and maintenance goals.
Liaison
-Liaises with the company’s representative on daily basis.
-Liaises with other Area Engineers within the contract to ensure efficient utilisation of manpower.
SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Qualifications
-Degree in Instrument Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
-Have a total of Eight (8) years’ experience with five (5) years’ experience in similar position or approved and certified system Engineers from one the renowned System manufacturer with at least Diploma in Instrument Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 6 Years’ field experience.
-Relevant Oil and Gas experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of pneumatic, electronic, metering, microprocessor based and hydraulic instruments and controls, of similar facilities to those specified in the Technical Specification.
-Knowledge in disassembling and reassembling equipment according to specifications.
-Able to maintain, safe operate & modify & have through experience on at least two DCS systems from (Foxboro, Honeywell, Emerson), ESD (Hima, ICS Triplex), PLC ( Allen Bradley, Siemens), F & G System( ICS Triplex, GE Fanuc).
-Should be well conversant with any maintenance software like CMMS, MAXIMO etc.
-Extensive proven experience in vibration analysis.
-Extensive knowledge of workshop practices and facilities.
-Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English language.
-Skilled in use of hand tools, power tools and precision measuring tools.
-Must have understanding of HSEMS Guidelines & procedures being followed and its implementation in work.
-Shall have hands on experience in using Computers and Software’s such as MS office EBEAMS, MS Project etc.
