Job Description:
OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)

-To provide a specialist service for all Electrical/Automation activities that ensures plant and processes are capable of safely and consistently achieving throughput, quality and yield targets, within financial and legislative framework, and with minimum disruption to the Environment. Wear required PPE as per Maaden EHS standard and follow safe work practices at all times.
-Identifying and evaluating potential I existing safety problems, suggesting solutions and recommending suitable corrective measures 
-Provide an open means by which subordinates I sub-contractors can communicate safety concerns, when possible action the items and when not ensure these are passed to personnel I sections for further actions. 
-Actively participate in implementation of Maaden Safety Policy by example and communication to subordinates.
-Report, investigate and monitor safety incidents in area of control, conduct and participate in all activities relating removal of hazards in your work area. 
-Assist with identification of hazards arising from activities in work area, ensuring that all are communicated to relevant personnel in order to maintain a hazard free work area.
-Follow the procedures and instructions related to EHS within the scope of the work area Work with Electrical Lead technician and report to Shift supervisor
-To provide Electrical/ Automation cover for respective shift for operational needs of the plant.
-To provide a Specialist Electrical/ Automation Service to operations and engineering areas.
-Maintain a safe working environment throughout the unit ensuring that potential hazards to people, plant and the Environment are identified that adequate control measures are implemented through risk assessment and appropriate control measures ensuring that Company Safety Policy is fully implemented.
-To plan and organise major maintenance requirements in close liaison with the operations & engineering departments
-Issue permits to work and LOTO-V method statements in accordance with Company safety procedures.
-To recommend and effect plant modifications for plant mobilisation procedures to ensure safe working practices, to improve plant availability, performance and quality. 
-Identify business and safety critical spares for all operational plant. Manage stock levels of critical spares and repairs so that plant disruption minimised. 
-To be the plant expert on Drives, PLC control, Oven, RTO, Coater Electrical system, slitters trimmer and Radio Control equipment. 
-To investigate equipment failures using the latest techniques and initiate procedures to prevent reoccurrence. 
-Update eAM database to ensure secure historical data including work requests, completed work lists, preventative maintenance plans, budgetary control, plant availability & component failure rates. Promote the use of systems across the department and ensure that personnel are adequately trained. A comprehensive knowledge of the plant and processes. 
-A comprehensive knowledge of large electrical VWF drives 
-A comprehensive knowledge of PLC control 
-A comprehensive Knowledge of measuring equipment, ELF Gauge & IR Gauge. 
-A Comprehensive knowledge of Coating Equipment. 
-A comprehensive knowledge of RTO and Oven Equipment. 
-A knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation 
-Knowledge of Company Safety, Health & Environmental requirements.
-To have analytical problem solving skills 

To have attended and completed the following training courses:
-Risk Assessment Course 
-Radio Control Crane Protocol 
-Permit to Work 
-Emergency Plans 
-Confined Spaces 
-Working at Heights 

Electrical Permit Experience: 
-Have proven experience of working in a medium sized maintenance engineering team. 
-To have ability to co-ordinate and direct resource (contractor and operational) 
-To be IT literate in the following software- MS Office products e.g. Excel, Word

To be capable of carrying out contractor induction Skills: 
-Scheduling skills, problem solving skills, Optimising skills, Interpersonal skills, Communication skills. 
-PC literacy English language
