JOB PURPOSE:
-Lead the development of Home Automation range of products and localize its technology.
-The main reason is to realise alfanar’s ultimate objective of manufacturing high quality home automation products.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategy Development:
Lead the strategy development process, in consultation with concerned actors: management, design, marketing, & external parties. Analyze the information trends of home automation field and assign the most suitable for local and regional markets.
Strategy Implementation:
Ensure the effective implementation of approved strategy through:
-Study feasible implementation method “Outstanding/branding/IN-house development, SKD, CKD.
-Communicate with component / system suppliers till product launching stage.
-Lead the development of the prototype, testing, validation of the home automation products
Technical Guidance:
-Provide technical guidance to various department for the new product development/ product improvement and compliance to International standards/ type test requirement
-Monitor the performance of the home automation products in the market and initiate the modification required to enhance the product performance.
-Conduct the customer complaint analysis for the defected products and initiate the required modification of the product
-Lead the launching of all the products in the market in coordination with various departments.
Team Development:
-Develop the technical support team required for launching home automation range
Internal Communication:
-Ensure effective internal communication within the AED division for smooth & efficient implementation of approved strategies
-Maintain cordial working relations with concerned departments/ functions
Leadership:
Ensure the effective implementation of agreed plans and strategies through proper communication and involvement of concerned actors
Other Related Duties and responsibilities
-Identify product gaps & propose feasible solutions
-Maintain Professional and technical Knowledge
-Full Compliance and adherence with policies and Procedures
-Keep close eye on market trends & competition initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
-10 to 15 years of Experience in product Design & Development
-Experience in developing home automation products range.
-Experience in lighting control products, such as Legrand, Bicino, Schneider…etc
