OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
Basic Function:
Carries out servicing, maintenance, repair and testing of a wide range of heavy equipment electrical components and systems (12-24 volts) at surface and underground locations. Performs routine service on electrical components and systems including cleaning contact points, oiling bearing, checking battery connections, wirings, fuses, relays, etc. Performs major repairs including overhauling of starters, distributors, alternators, etc.
Work Performed:
-Receives assignments and assesses requirements of preventive maintenance schedule. Includes obtaining necessary tools, materials and other related equipment. Requests special parts as necessary.
-Carries out routine repairs on electrical systems of Company heavy duty vehicles and equipment as required.
-Carries out major repairs to heavy equipment electrical systems. Includes disassembling, repairing and/or replacing faulty circuits, wires, etc. and reassembling and test-running on completion.
-Troubleshoots electrical faults in Company vehicles and heavy equipment. Includes inspecting, diagnosing and rectifying as necessary.
-Participates in the on-the-job training of Saudi nationals.
-Repairs, overhauls and reconditions defective or worn out components of reclaimed units. Includes disassembling units, establishing faults, obtaining and installing appropriate parts, or mending or fabricating same, as required.
-Carries out other similar or related duties such as cleaning general electrical tools and test equipment, salvaging parts and materials when possible, observing all fire and safety regulations and procedures, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
-Completion of Secondary (12 years) education, plus 2 years formal training in Heavy Equipment Electrical maintenance and repairs.
-Minimum 3 years experience in servicing and repairing electrical systems of heavy duty equipment in the mining industry.
-Fair knowledge of job English.
