ASSET INTEGRITY (DUKHAN) DEPARTMENT
Primary Purpose of Job
-Undertakes and supervises inspection of pressure containing plant equipment, pipeline and safety relieving devices to establish conditions, carries out review of equipment and material specifications for safe operation of plant equipment.
-Prepares inspection reports outlining specific recommendations and liaises with maintenance planning engineers and field supervisors regarding their implementations.
-Active participation in investigation panels and provides necessary inputs, back ground information for root cause analysis of failures, modifications and upgrading of fixed assets.
-Review of documents, mechanical drawings & PI&D’s related to new projects and proposals. Technical evaluation of bids for shut downs, contracts fixed equipment refurbishment contracts and for purchasing of process related items.
-Assists Head of Inspection in other day-today activities and acts as a relief, during periods of annual leaves. Provides Technical advice related to NDT inspection.
-Confirms Man Hours in SAP system. Reviews & revises DCT as required. Prepare Release Order & Service Entry Sheets for Contractors monthly work payment.
Experience & Skills
-API / ASNT / PCN / CSWIP certification or equivalent
-Good knowledge in international codes and standards related in service inspection of pressure vessels, piping etc.
-Good knowledge in welding technique, QA/QC procedures and NDT techniques.
-Fluent in written and spoken English.
-Good analytical/creative skills and leadership / motivation skills.
-Minimum 12 years experience in inspection of pressure containing plant preferably in the refinery, chemical or oil & gas processing plants.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or in Metallurgy plus corporate membership in appropriate engineering Institution.
