MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB 
To prepare and furnish up to date Costs / Estimates in the form of Concept Reports / Bill of 
Quantities to the Client’s Professional Quantity Surveyor, issue monthly valuations, report all variations on a regular basis throughout the contract, and interface with the Client directly when and as required. Report directly to the Project Manager on all estimating and surveying functions.

JOB OBJECTIVES 
-To ensure participation in handover of construction meetings for any and all project concerned. 
-In conjunction with the Project Manager, prepare CCS's for the projects and update as required. 
-Ensure maximum profitability on projects under his / her control by pro-actively approaching your duties and exercising commercial acumen. 
-Prepare cash flows and update as necessary - analyse timing of sales and costs. 
-Ensure good working relationships with clients portraying yourself as professional and company as a respectable organization, by ensuring that client correspondence / documentation is prepared in a professional manner - close links established with key client personnel. 
-Compile monthly reports as directed by the Commercial Manager 
-Carry out monthly measure on site and prepare in term evaluation to include all values relating to labour materials management, plant and equipment and escalation. 
-Monitor progress on site ensure that where applicable claims for recovery of loss and expense are submitted timeously and agreed with client, liaising with Project Manager and referring to the appropriate conditions of contract. 
-High light to the Commercial Manager areas in which target cost and sales are not being achieved by means of a monthly report. 
-Comply with company procedures in relation to commercial matters. 
-Assist in the development of the company by developing contacts within the industry. 
-Monitor activities of the Junior Quantity Surveyor by checking work completed and quality. 
-Any other adhoc duties as assigned from time to time. 
-Supports PM on maintaining project management documentation (Project Management Plan (PMP), Risk Management Plan (RMP), Scope of Works (SOW), WBS Dictionary, Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM), etc.). 
-Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner. 
-Works autonomously with direct supervision. 
-May require travels to the various Project sites. 
-Liaise with the Project and Contractor Teams to ensure consistent basis for all project costs/plans. 

EDUCATION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
-10 Years working experience with at least 5 years in a senior role. 
-Professional Qualification, Degree in Quantity Surveying, Economics, Engineering or Construction Management. 
-Qualified candidates will possess at least 10 years of industry experience, with a preference for international EPC or Oil and Gas experience
-Negotiating skills 
-PC Skills , MS Office specifically excel 
-Analytical skills associated with developing and utilizing performance measures and cost savings 
-Experienced in Managing and Leading a multicultural group/Team 
-Conversant with operating in a ‘Functionally’ structured organization. 
-Ideally experienced in Oil & Gas sector 

IT Skills: 
Demonstrated Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft applications (including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) for the purpose of word processing, presentations, spreadsheets and information retrieval 

People Skills: 
-Excellent leadership skills and ability to influence, mentorship skills, and relationship building skills 
-Superior interpersonal, organizational, analytical, managerial and communication skills. 
-Good negotiating skills to be able to work with customers (both internal and external) to meet project objectives
