ELECTRICITY SYSTEMS CONTROL
Core Functions:
Ensure compliance of energy trading agreements
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
-Follow up the collection of all information and data relating to Interconnections
-Ensures all energy exchanges and operations of Interconnections are conversant with Trading agreements
-Establish and maintain correspondence with GCC IA (GCC Interconnection Authority) Control Centre for power exchanges.
-Issue requests for outage of GCC IA transmission elements for maintenance work.
-Maintain the meter readings from interconnected / boundary point
-Compare the deviations from the schedule and computes the unscheduled interchange (UI) charges for the corresponding time block based on UI rates during the time block
-Associate with Operation Planning and load forecast to appraise the capacity availability
-Ensure the GCC IA network components loading are in safe limits
-Prepare report for the operational co-ordination committee meeting
Qualification Requirements:
Education & Training
BSc. / B.E. in Electrical Engineering Degree (full time course) from a recognized university.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 years experience in a utilities environment, with good experience in managing interconnection systems and energy trading agreements.
