OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
-Must have an Oil and Gas job based qualification in process operations NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
-Must have a minimum 5 years experience in Operations in an oil or gas plant.
-Must be fluent in English IELTS Level 5 or equivalent.
-Must successfully complete COMPANY AGT- training (theory) and practical assessment in the field.
-Must successfully complete COMPANY AA/PA awareness training.
-Must successfully complete Confined Space Attendant training and assessment.
-The AGT can only perform his/her AGT role during TA status and only on 1 Area (FGP or GTL or LPU or ASU).
-Sound understanding and working knowledge about the various equipment and techniques used for gas testing.
-Selecting the appropriate gas detector and ensure that the atmosphere to be tested is in range of gas detector.
-Checking the calibration date, battery life, sample probes, attachments, diffuser head and any other visible damage on the equipment.
-Awareness of the effects of temperature, stagnant or flowing air patterns around work site, sludge that may contain trapped pockets of gas.
-Carrying out gas tests at the frequency and type as instructed by the ASI (Authorized Safety Inspector) or as per permit requirement.
-Liaise with COMPANY Operation/Maintenance, Contractors and Subcontractors to ensure they are aware of any operating conditions in the area, which may affect their work.
-Monitoring of any changes in wind direction, operational activities, vents, leaks, spills, drainage system incidents and simultaneous operations that may impact on the safety of the job and personnel.
-Implement stop work procedure and instruct personnel to withdraw at any time when any gas test or other condition indicates it is unsafe for the work to continue..
-Ensure work does not restart after any incident unless authorized by an ASI.
-Monitoring of permit compliance as prescribed on the permit to work document.
-Other duties as may be assigned as part of an AGT responsibilities asset wide.
