REFINING MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
-Produce all Maintenance Plans and programme for Maintenance activities. Includes overseeing the input of all data and the production of all shutdown planning & routine planning documentation.
-Monitors Department's Computerized Maintenance Management Systems including proposing changes to enhance the Systems efficiency and operation, determining the overall priorities for system users and acting as prime liaison for computerized information needs between Dept. and IT Dept. Supervises the Implementation of work control system.
-Controls the issue of and continuously develops methods I work procedures requested to meet the dynamic changes in the Departments Business needs.
-Lead Planning Engineers (MMS)
Principal Accountabilities
-Prepares maintenance schedules, P.M. Schedules and management reports including monthly activity report, monthly plant I major rotating equipment availability I reliability report and monthly backlog report. Weekly forward planning bar chart/report.
-Prepares Yearly and 5 years look ahead overhaul I inspection program chart for major rotating / static equipment.
-Developes and provides Discipline Engineers m Maintenance Department with PM
Schedules, future work report and receives feed back for activity plans.
-Reviews activity plans and advises Discipline Engineer of apparent omissions or
discrepancies. Inputs activity plan data as finally determined by Discipline Engineers.
-Monitors the overall efficiency, development and operation of the Computerized
Maintenance Management and information Systems including, identifying and proposing system enhancements; proposing layout of new reports; proposing hardware and operating parameters; recommending future requirements and applications.
-Prepares reviews of the relative merits of alternative systems undertaking special studies through analysis of system data on Plant availability and system reliability. Acts as a member of the committees convened for reviewing the development of Corporate Computerized
Maintenance Management and Information System.
-Monitors and controls the implementation of maintenance routine schedules.
-Prepares Preventive Maintenance plans and schedules and management report on maintenance performance.
-Controls the planning and scheduling of all minor plant shutdowns for Inspection, Overhaul and Plant Change Project Work. Participate in meeting and liaise closely with Maintenance and Operations personnel to determine optimum shutdown periods and refine these into plans and schedules.
Acts as prime liaison between the Dept. and IT Dept. Responsible for identifying hardware and software requirements and determines appropriateness of response. Responsible for monitoring the implementation of software required.
-Follow-up with the IT Dept. on development issues such as software project proposals.
-Attends regular meetings to review progress and priority changes.
-Manages regular planning meetings to review current maintenance activities and future work schedule.
-Prepares and monitors key performance indicators to be measured periodically such as maintenance cost, maintenance productivity, breakdown rate, backlog rate, lost bours, etc and produce reports to keep management informed.
-Prepare Benchmark reports against other Assets maintenance planning strategy I policy to have continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education
B.S in Engineering (preferably Mechanical).
Experience
-Minimum 15 years experience in a similar capacity in the Oil / Gas / Refinery or Petrochemical Industry.
-At least 4 years working experience in Computerized Maintenance Management System
(SAP / MAXIMO / EMA / TEROMAN or similar).
-Strong working knowledge of Engineering Codes and practices, material specifications and ordering procedures.
-Good Command in English ( both spoken and written)
-Experience in working in Middle East working environment.
