Duties and Responsibilities
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures, to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Installation and Maintenance:
-Install new HVAC systems according to specifications and blueprints.
-Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning.
-Replace or repair defective components as needed.
-Perform upgrades or modifications to improve system efficiency.
Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Repair:
-Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures and ensure the plant's reliability.
-Diagnose HVAC system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
-Identify and resolve issues related to heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration.
-Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs.
Inspections and Testing:
-Test HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with performance standards.
-Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to assess their condition.
-Test system controls and components to identify potential problems.
-Verify compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
-Document inspection findings and recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
Record Keeping and Quality Control:
-Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including work orders, equipment manuals, and maintenance logs.
-Conduct quality control checks to ensure that HVAC systems meet the required performance standards.
-Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and operators to optimize plant operations and address complex issues.
Customer Service:
-Communicate effectively with contractors to verify the work meets the standards.
-Provide courteous and professional service while on-site.
-Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
-Any other duties as reasonably requested by the management.
Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC technician training program or apprenticeship preferred.
Work experience
-Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role.
-Experience working with diverse HVAC systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
-Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC system malfunctions.
-Track record of providing excellent customer service and maintaining high client satisfaction.
-Experience in preventive maintenance and routine inspections of HVAC equipment.
Required Skills
-Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
-Experience working with diverse HVAC systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
-Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC system malfunctions.
