We are currently seeking skilled and dedicated Line Operators/Mechanics to join our team. As a Line Operator/Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our 3 piece can-making production lines. Your expertise in operating and maintaining specialized machinery will contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Equipment Operation: Operate 3 piece can-making machines such as slitters, Soudronic welders (including monitor), internal powder, external lacquer, curing oven, parting, neckers, flangers, beaders, seamers, testers, and palletizers to ensure the production of high-quality cans.
Set-up and Adjustment: Perform start-up, set-up, and adjustment of the machinery in the line, according to production requirements and specifications.
Preventive Maintenance: Execute regular preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This includes routine inspections, lubrication, and replacement of worn parts.
Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues and faults in machinery, such as welding problems, coating defects, and seaming issues. Implement appropriate solutions or escalate problems to the maintenance team when necessary.
Quality Control: Conduct online quality checks on cans, including measurements, visual inspections, and seam analysis, to ensure adherence to production and quality standards.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and policies to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards, incidents, or accidents promptly.
Documentation: Accurately complete production and quality records, including data on production output, equipment maintenance, and quality control checks.
Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, including operators, technicians, and supervisors, to ensure efficient production processes and effective communication.
Training: Provide guidance and support to new operators, sharing your knowledge and expertise to facilitate their onboarding and development.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancements, and cost reduction, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
-We expect the worker to assume the role of line lead and start working immediately, without any learning curve.
-Experience as a Line Operator or Mechanic in a can-making plant.
-Proficient in operating and maintaining can-making machinery.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
-Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
-Understanding of quality control procedures and ability to conduct online quality checks.
-Attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
