Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Diploma in Fire & Safety Management NOBESH / OSHA required safety certifications.
-Minimum 15 years experience related to Safety with Safety Certifications
-Have knowledge of safety requirements, and practiced safety refinery or petrochemical plants.
-Good knowledge of English and Arabic language
-Effective communication - reports preparation.
-Good command of Arabic
Job Description
The job aims to follow up and monitor the works on work sites in the company's plants in order to ensure their execution in accordance with the approved safety instructions and procedures and prepare the studies and analysis of the industrial accidents, their reasons and methods of their prevention through submitting the recommendations and directions to the employees and providing safe work circumstances.
-Monitors and tests the work sites and the company's plants to ensure the application and provision of safe work and operation circumstances in coordination with the region engineer in charge.
-Studies and evaluates the production, operation and maintenance approaches and procedures and the extend of the fulfillment of security and safety stipulations and presents his recommendations in this respect to his direct senior.
-Tests and evaluates the used and new safety equipment’s and appliances during different operation stages in order to ensure their usability and recommends necessary procedures for their use whether on work sites or to the employees.
-Suspends the unsafe works and practices which violate the security and safety instructions and procedures and adopts necessary steps to correct them.
-Monitors the works executed in emergency cases and the tasks that may cause risks during operation.
-Issues safety permits to execute the works in the areas under the safety division control and supervises such works during their execution as well as issues gate passes for the vehicles inside the company's borders.
-Trains the company's employees and contractor's labors on the safe operation practices under ordinary or emergency work circumstances.
-Investigates on the industrial accidents, discusses them with the specialists, prepares the final reports on them and presents them to his direct senior to take necessary procedures.
-Prepares the statistical and analytical studies, the annual reports on the industrial accidents, their reasons and methods of their prevention and submits his recommendations to the company's divisions and employees to avoid them and have to provide safe work circumstances.
-Participates in the study of the new projects whether major or minor and submits his recommendations in respect of the safety requirements to his direct senior to take necessary procedures.
-Adopts the HSE regulations and rules and take all necessary arrangements to protect others and himself and maintain the company's assets and property.
-Performs other works and duties entrusted to him in the scope of his work
-Severe vigilance and attention and dealing with the reports of professional safety and health as well as their instructions and work in night shifts if requested as well as afford frequent work stress takes decisions to run the specialized daily work in the job scope.
-Participates in taking operational decision related to the division work plant.
