JOB DESCRIPTION
-Co-ordinates work functions of the Contractor’s personnel in his area of responsibility
-Ensures personnel's adherence to safe working and ensures the compliance of Company’s Fire & Safety regulations.
-Performs and/or directs maintenance on electronic instruments and control systems including microprocessor/PLC based systems, ICS Triplex / GeFanuc / Simplex / Allen Bradley / Siemens PLC's, DCS's, ESD systems, Detronics/General Monitor based fire and gas monitoring and protection system.
-Diagnose problems or potential problems with control systems - pneumatic, electronic, Fire & Gas system, H2S systems and DCS/ESD/PLC related
-Perform preventive maintenance on Fire & Gas/H2S Detection Systems without affecting the normal operation of facility.
-Repairs defects of all instruments such as Fire detection, H2S detection, Gas detection, CO2 system, deluge systems, transmitters, controllers, recorders, protective switches, etc.
-Co-ordinates instrument repair and test work
-Ensures the best quality of maintenance and modification works to the satisfaction of the Company’s representative.
-Records/logs daily report, calibration activities and reports the events and the activities to the concerned supervisor in terms of manpower/spares utilized.
-Control Room modification activities like replacement and additional work on Fire & Gas detection System.
-To call-out duty after normal working hours.
SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Qualification
-Have Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronic plus eight (8) years Technical experience.
-Have eight (8) years experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of pneumatic, Fire & Gas and electronic control systems.
-Have the skill to check, calibrate and repair Fire & Gas Instruments and electronic instruments and troubleshoot in a PLC/DCS/microprocessor based control system
-Shall be able to Diagnoses, trouble-shoots and locates system faults on Fire & Gas, equipment and implements appropriate remedial actions, including the use of diagnostic and calibration tools/equipment.
-Be able to lead and complete assigned jobs without direct supervision.
-Be able read P&IDs, Loop diagrams etc.
-Knowledge in disassembling and reassembling equipment according to specifications.
-Be able to speak, read and write English
Hands on experience in the following:-
-PLC such as ICS Triplex, Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, HIMA, Siemens, Omron, etc.
-DCS's such as Emerson Delta-V, / Foxboro Invensys / Honeywell TDC3000, etc.
-ESD Systems such as HIMA, ICS Triplex etc.
-Oil industry safety standards and SIL Rating
-Office automation software like MS Word, Excel, Access, etc.
