OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)

KNPC - MAA REFINERY – MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES PROJECTS

BASIC FUNCTION
Environment Engineer in the Refinery complex advises Contractor’s Management on environment aspect, plans environment program / procedure for the Contract, educate, train and inform Contractor’s employees about environment aspects and monitor the compliance.  Investigates accident to ensure compliance with KNPC Policy expectations.  To coordinate, liaise and communicate with KNPC’s Environment Division.  Knowledge of all associated hazards and the environmental aspects required for safe execution of jobs.  

WORK PERFORMED
-Should be fully conversant with Company Environmental Policies, Training to employees.
-Well informed on all activities of Contractor personnel for planned / breakdown / turnaround mechanical maintenance and modification / construction for both Rotating & Stationery Equipment.
-Inspects job sites to ensure specified Environmental Guidelines are followed.
-Conversant with International Codes and Standards on ISO 14001. 
-Should have thorough knowledge on Accident Reporting and Investigation Procedures.
-Advise the Contractors Management on all environmental aspects for safe executions of assigned Contract in compliance with KNPC’s Environmental Policies.
-Monitor the compliance of Environmental Guidelines by the Contractor employees.
-Educate, train and inform the Contractor employees on environment aspects.
-Get fully conversant with KNPC’s Environment Policies, Major Incident Procedure Plan and Emergency Evacuation Plan.  Report and investigate all accident of the Contractor employees.
-Coordinate, liaise and communicate with KNPC’s Environment Division / Section and attend weekly meetings.
-Attends call out after working hours.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
-Engineering graduate on Environmental / Chemical Engineering.
-Minimum Five (5) years’ experience in relevant filed (Preferably in Refinery / Petrochemical Industries)
-Certificate as Auditor for ISO 14001:2004 should be treated as added qualification.
-Should be able to read, write and converse fluently in English.
