Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
-Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineer.
-Inspection or related Engineering function.
-Minimum 15 Years’ experience
Additional required qualifications:
-Recognized technical/engineering expert on design, maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of Inspection in Petrochemical and Oil & Gas industries as demonstrated by significant accomplishments and contributions acquired over a period of 15 or more years.
-Possesses a thorough knowledge of general principles and theories related to Inspection engineering and contributes significantly to the solution of a variety of unique and complex engineering problems.
-Experience of people management and ability to use influence to achieve results.
-Flexible and able to re-prioritize tasks based on changing business need.
-Excellent communication skills both interpersonal skills and presentation skills to all levels including executive management.
-Above average proficiency in English language (written and spoken).
-Proficient in MS Office® applications (with advanced knowledge of MS Excel®).
Experience within the Gulf States would be advantageous.
Technical Leadership:
-Conduct studies and analysis related to Inspection, develop new and/or enhance the efficiency of protective/preventive measures for mitigation of related failures.
-Identify, evaluate and develop Sabic Manufacturing Standards (SMS) & Best Practices (BP) to improve the maintenance & reliability of Inspection equipment/components.
-Ensure timely review for SABIC Engineering Standards (SES) related to Inspection.
-Initiate new ideas and identify novel solutions for Inspection within SABIC.
-Address Inspection issues affecting asset reliability, and maintain knowledge of upcoming technological improvements.
-Ensure structural safety, reliability and serviceability of static equipment in SABIC’s Manufacturing sites globally.
Technical Support and Engagement:
-Work with Regional Asset Support (RAS) team by conducting technical support & consultation on high impact MSRs (Level 3) to resolve chronic failures/issues in Inspection at SABIC Manufacturing sites globally.
-Support SABIC Manufacturing in technical audits/assessments/cold eye reviews and remaining life assessment initiatives.
-Diagnostic investigation and troubleshooting for Inspection s.
-Provide expert knowledge on safety and reliability related programs applicable to SABIC SHEMS and OMS.
-Work with GPS to pre-qualify and re-qualify Inspection contractors and Inspection manufacturers.
-Evaluate new technologies and equipment related to the Inspection.
Knowledge and Network Management:
-Communicate critical business cases in the form of Technical Alerts (TA) and SMS to Global Manufacturing.
-Participate in internal and external Inspection technical exchange meetings, forums, conferences and committees.
-Manage the Inspection Expert Groups meetings and knowledge sharing.
Competency Development, Mentoring and Coaching
-Develop and delivery of specialized, quality Inspection training to SABIC manufacturing engineers globally.
-Mentor and coach SABIC Manufacturing Affiliates/Sites Inspection engineers.
