OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
To manage, lead control and be as vocal point SME (Subject Matter Expert) on all operational occupational health safety and environment systems within subject mine or any MGBM operational site, linked/reference to the approved, standards & procedures as well as best international practices. His role will also include assessing the current mine condition and furnish the needed evaluation of all technical requirements thereof by measuring and assessing of the implementation of subject OHSE systems against the current MGBM and Ma’aden EHS guidelines and procedure in coordination with ISSED.

Occupational Health Process & Plan:
-Design, develops and implements the OH plan of MGBM Occupational Health systems site.
-Including ensuring the availability of equipment, material and supplies to ensure efficient operations in line with MGBM ISSED & Corporate ISD objectives as well as compliances with Government requirements 
-Develops and implements Ind. Hygiene programs including processes, procedures, specifications, and/or training courses as it relates to construction and operations activities.
-Monitors Ind. Hygiene exposure/monitoring data and practices/controls to ensure compliance with established programs, policies, and applicable regulations. Advises management of noncompliance and stops work in imminent danger situations.
-Recommends acceptable work practices and corrective actions and ensures their implementation.
-Develops and implements EHS programs including processes, procedures, specifications, and/or training courses as it relates to construction and operations activities.

Environmental Process & Plans: 
-Responsible for the implementation of MGBM Environmental systems including standard and processes and is responsible for the development of updated current guidelines as well as procedure to meet MGBM Environmental policy & procedures 
-Develop/update the written program/plan assuring compliance with regulatory deadlines and procedures 
-Conducts site surveys and facility inspections to ensure environmental programs are in compliance with applicable regulations and procedures and recommends appropriate corrective actions.
-Compiles, analyzes, and interprets statistical data related to environmental matters.  Prepares technical reports for internal and external review.
-Evaluates environmental programs for compliance with MGBM ISSED, Corporate CED, and PME requirements. 
-Provides technical assistance to all personnel on established Environmental procedures and requirements
-Assisting with environmental tasks for site investigation as well as observation and documentation of remedial implementation within all applicable regulatory. Tasks would include field investigations, developing work plans, collection of environmental samples, analyzing and reporting data, preparing technical reports and regulatory documented analyses reports.
-Handle all related weather stations/dust monitoring processes and guidelines compliance with the approved regulatory requirements
-Develops and implements Environmental programs including processes, procedures, specifications, and/or training courses as it relates to construction and operations activities.

Advice provision
Provides advice to the MGBM management team and mine site on OHE requirements that should be considered for current, new facilities and projects. 
-Provides direction and advice on the application of OHSE mismanagement system to all MGBM sites and positively influence MGBM culture.
-Establish and enforce safety and occupational health policies/standards, and standard loss prevention polices for the MBGM operations and related facilities.
-Identify workplace safety hazards and ensuring that MGBM operational sites are in compliance with government worker safety regulations.
-Make sure that the employees are aware of effective MGBM IMS-EHS programs that must comply with all rules and regulations applies to their own actions.
-Identify and evaluate/review environmental studies /problems and offer solutions in accordance with local government regulations EIAs (Env. Impact Assessment Studies), EBS (Env. Baseline Studies) and international regulation .i.e. EPA standards etc…
-Be responsible for providing advice to various business units on mine occupational health, hygiene programs and medical surveillance issues affecting the operation

Incident reporting
-Supports MGBM operational site during any incident took place to ensure MGBM  and Corporate incident regulations mechanism are emphasized and implemented during all incident investigation cycles 
-Lead/Participate all related OHSE accidents, injuries investigation ns; determine root cause and future means of prevention.
-Ensure that OHSE recommendation generated via final incident recommendation is tracked monitored and closed.

Technology
Functional owner of OHSE technology resources and keeps the MGBM management and asset protection design guidelines up to date.

Relationships
-Maintains relationships at a senior level with industry peers on a global basis to determine and build best OHSE designs through development of a close industry network.
-Maintain relationships at senior level with local, national and external OHSE authorities.

Crises and recovery management
-Supports MGBM in the Crises Management Framework, Business Continuity management and the Disaster Recovery process that assures site Business Continuity and Emergency Response arrangements for OHSE related incidents with the focus on design and compliance. 
-Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections. 
-Ability to support and advise MGBM in case of unexpected events to return to normal operations.

Contracts 
-Supports provider contracts across MGBM new projects together with the subsidiary to secure design, regulations, and policies meeting MGBM standards.
-Ability of contracts administration to comply with the terms and conditions determined by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental or Occupational Health Sciences with 10 experience in the environmental, health, & safety field with a preference in the mining industries i.e. (underground & open pit ) and has full acknowledge about the cyanide management including operational risk mitigation, dealing with related incidents and reducing it severity throughout effective risk management. 
-Excellent knowledge of English
-Excellent level of computer literacy 
-Knowledge and experience with the development of Safety, Environmental & Health policies, procedures, instructions, plans, and training.
-Technical knowledge of Ind. Hygiene process development and execution, with proper certifications
-Knowledge of problem investigation, regulatory and internal audit practices and procedures. With proper certifications
-Knowledge of HSE Analysis and Safety Management Program processes
-The individual must be technically knowledgeable with respect to OHE systems/plans, regulatory and statutory standards, and general production principles.  This position requires the ability to exercise the judgment, decisiveness and creativity required in situations involving evaluation of information against measurable or verifiable criteria
