Summary
The Management Accountant is responsible for providing financial insights, analysis, and reporting that helps senior management make informed business decisions. This role involves preparing management reports, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial performance evaluation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
-Analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision support
-Analyze results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions.
-Identify and analyze actual results with plans and forecasts.
-Analyze financial data – and create financial models for decision support.
-Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
-Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
-Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
-Preparation of annual and monthly budgets in close coordination with concerned departments/divisions.
-Budget variance analysis.
-Advising proper cost allocation of requests.
-Preparation of required documentation for third parties such as financial Institutions.
-Conduct cost-benefit analysis, profitability analysis, and make recommendations for cost savings.
-Implement cost control measures to enhance financial efficiency.
Qualifications & Soft Competencies:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-Professional certification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
-5 years of experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
-Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
-Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
-Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
-Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets.
-Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with non-financial stakeholders.
-High attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
