WELL INTEGRITY DEPARTMENT
Primary Purpose of the Job:
Coordinates and provides Petro physical support to all well Integrity activities. Analyzes log data and provides logging alternatives to enhance investigations, including: Productions logging, Leak detection, Corrosion evaluation, Cement evaluation, behind pipe flow and Down-hole Video among others. Liaises with other departments to consolidate the well data for accurate decision making.
Principal Accountabilities:
-Actively assists management in the evaluation and decision making process for all repair work to be conducted on wells with integrity issues.
-Identify new technologies used to solve Well Integrity issues and evaluate these technologies by conducting trials in order to better plan work-over intervensions.
-Elaborate tenders for logging contracts and technically evaluate bidders. Act as the focal point for all logging contracts and mange them at all stages.
-Design the logging programs to answer specific well integrity concerns using leak detection logs, flow behind pipe techniques, corrosion evaluation logging, cement bond evaluations, production logging, and thermal multi-decay logging etc.
-Plan & coordinate well integrity cased hole logging jobs and find ways to improve the overall quality of the logging operations. Analyze log data and build databases, provide feedback on data quality and operations safety after each logging job.
-Review cement evaluation and compare with recent logs to assess cement deterioration and potential communicating zones and leaks through or behind the completion.
Participate in Well Corrosion and integrity studies and provide interpretations on cement quality and casing corrosion assessment.
-Provide Petrophysical feedback to Well Integrity operations Division on any operational issues that might affect well integrity testing operations and be actively involved with FD department to coordinate all cased-hole logging conducted under FD contract.
-Monitor the availability of logging tools for well logging operations especially for Well Integrity jobs and validate job tickets issued by logging contractors. Provide well site quick look interpretations of the logged data and evaluate contractor performance during and after logging job completion. Ensure timely delivery of data in proper format to the Well Integrity Department and perform data quality control on the final log prints.
-Assist Well Integrity management as RMR in all related QMS issues including procedure writing, certification, personnel training and department audits. Actively contribute in the department KPI achievements and facilitate the implementation of SCADA monitoring system and WIMS software.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
-Minimum of Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geophysical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
-Minimum 10 years experience as Petrophysicist with demonstrated work experience in wireline logging, operations (both Open Hole and Cased Hole), log interpretations as well as integrity operations and engineering.
-Strong commitment to QP H S & E rules and regulations.
-Experience in contract management and tendering processes, technical evaluations for electric line logging. Variation to existing contracts under FD and amendments to these contracts within WI (D) budget limits.
-Good knowledge of QMS, procedure writing, ISO certification and audits.
-Advanced Open-Hole and Cased Hole interpretation with demonstrated experience in Cement Bond, Corrosion and cementing processes. Familiar with the cased hole logging operations.
-Proven experience in working within a multidisciplinary / multi-cultural team and preferably in a multinational environment.
-Problem solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the company as well as commercial awareness.
-Enthusiastic and have good abilities to cooperate with other team members and have good contact with people.
-Desired to have good experience working in mature producing fields where finding, assimilating and integrating various data from incomplete files and variable sources can be channeling.
-Able to communicate effectively and professionally interact with a broad range of disciplines and levels: peers, field staff and senior management as well as contractors and partners.
-Strong leadership with proven capability to take firm decisions and actions.
