Qualifications and Experience
Academic:
Licensed Engineer / holder of any 5 years Engineering Diploma from a reputable college or university.
Professional Qualifications:
Extensive familiarity with painting and sandblasting works. Should possess good knowledge in all kinds of painting and Sandblasting equipments with at least 5 years of experience in supervisory position Knowledgeable in technical, administrative organization of project.
Job Summary
Leads crews in planning systematic methodologies to be applied in painting and sandblasting works based on the knowledge of available tools, machineries and equipments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
-Supervises and leads work crews in all activities concerned with painting and sandblasting works aspects of a construction project, utilizing exemplary expertise in the application of systematic and scientific work methods and procedures and capabilities of craftsman, machines and equipment.
-Leads crews in planning procedures of painting and sandblasting based on starting and completion times and manpower requirements for each phase of construction, based on knowledge of available manpower, tools equipment and materials and various construction methods.
-Supervises the works of all crews engaged in painting and sandblasting works to ensure that quality output is completed on schedule and to the standards and specifications required.
-Liaises with Supervisors, Foreman, QC and Specialists of other disciplines to ensure the optimum interface of the various operational activities, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
-Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and standards and that construction schedules are adhered to. Examines workmanship of painting and sandblasting if it is in conformity to standards and specifications. Interprets blueprints and specifications and discusses deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with QA/QC inspection plans and procedures. Reviews quantities of materials received or used during specified periods.
-Familiar with and enforces strict compliance with all QA/QC and Safety procedures of the Company with the workforce under his responsibility.
-Identifies, formulates and implements “on-the-job” training programs with the aim of achieving a “Zero” rating for lost man hours caused by preventable accidents or loss of productivity in the work schedule on the job site.
