Qualification
-Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
-Knowledge of construction contracts, method of measurements, costs control etc
-With excellent communication skills and knowledge of Auto Cad, Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to interpret and understand contracts, drawings, specifications, Bills of quantities and estimates
Purpose
To perform measurements, monitor project values and costs, to generally assist and report to Senior QS / Commercial Manager
Responsibilities
-To assist in the compilation, submittal and agreement of interim and final valuations
-To carry out remeasurement of work from autocad and or hard copy
-Identify variations, assist in submission of notifications and valuation
-To assist in claims preparation
Prepare subcontract packages, prepare subcontract comparisons, subletting of subcontracts and • subsequently assess subcontract progress, interim and final payments
-To assist in cost control procedures on site and assist in cost reporting procedures
-Assist in the performance of risk and value management
-Prepare breakdowns of Bill of quantities items into component first principal elements
-Assist in monitoring and collecting site records for value and cost control
-Assist in the preparation and monitoring of cash flow forecasts
-Review tender documents with regards to technical and commercial matters and advise Commercial Manager accordingly.
-Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
