Job Description
-To take the overall charge of all IR, statutory & worker welfare activities.
-Continuous interaction with employee trade unions.
-Initiate policy changes in the area of employee relations.
-Participate in labour relations committees, preparation of agreements, proposals for wage and other negotiations.
-Prepare draft agreements and finalize it with the legal consultant overseeing all grievance handling.
-Formulate policy and direct and coordinate industrial relations activities of organization.
-Manage the people aspect of any restructuring within the organization, including redeployment and redundancies.
-Handle issues related to Discipline & Management of Discipline & Principles of Natural Justice - including Preliminary Enquiry, Show Cause Notice, Charge sheet, Domestic Enquiry, Punishments etc
-Interact with Business Managers on work related issues of the Employees on their Work Performances / Non Performances & Productivity
-Interface with Conciliation Officer, Commissioner of Labour, Inspector of Factories, Adjudication Proceedings before Labour Courts & Tribunals
-Interface with Lawyers & Solicitors
-To ensure Long Term settlements with Unions.
-Statutory Compliances & Contract Labour Management, Safety and Security.
-Ensure harmonious workmen-management relations are maintained across locations.
-Development and implementation of initiatives to improve industrial relations.
-Put in place highly effective, systematic and legally sound processes, in respect of employee discipline and staff accountability measures.
-Ensure Compliance of all Labour and Industrial Laws (Central and State laws of Maharashtra) for the business units.
-Should be able read, write and converse fluently in Marathi and English.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
COMPLIANCE:
-Understand the Labour laws and all statutory provisions various Labour regulations that is Industrial Disputes Act, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages , PF etc.
-Ensure all HR statutory and regulatory norms are adhered to by the factory.
-Liaise with the factory on all labour related matters.
-Educate the factory personnel on labour laws.
-Ensure compliance from them on the same.
RISK MANAGEMENT:
-Coordinate and formulate contracts for the outsourcing activities.
-Put in place appropriate control plans and monitor the same.
-Identify and report any risk arising from the outsourcing activity.
