Qualifications
-Graduate Engineer in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering.
-Have 10 years experience in in-service inspection in Petrochemical or Refinery.
-Have API-570 certification at least.
-Have knowledge in latest inspection Code/ Standards.
-Have NACE Standard.
-Familiar with API-580/581 and API 5711579.
-Have NDT certification level-II.
-Have welding certification A WS.
-Good command of English language "written / spoken".
-Have computer literate.
Job Description
-The Corrosion Engineer is responsible for all activities pertaining to corrosion management in equipment, piping systems, cathodic protection systems, and coating systems, and reports to the
Inspection & Corrosion Team Leader. Key aspects of this position include:
-Carry out and follow up corrosion inspection activities per inspection schedule.
-Enter and review data in the asset database.
-Ensure that calculations for remaining life are current and that the inspection plan is updated.
-Provide detailed replacement schedule reports based on projected remaining life.
-Review inspection and hold points in reliability engineering job plans.
-Ensure inspections are conducted in accordance with PIC Safety Regulations.
-Review recommendations from MOC, RCA, PHA and inspection case studies as they relate to Asset Integrity.
