ELECTRICITY SYSTEMS CONTROL
Core Functions:
-Responsible in overseeing the safety, reliability & security of Electricity Network upto and including 132kV, and the continuity of power supply to the industrial and domestic consumers of KAHRAMA'A.
-To ensure that special arrangement for VIP supplies and special ceremonial occasions is implemented.
-Responsible in the preparation of the operation policy of Transmission Network and dispatching procedures.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
-Implements the Operation Policy of Electricity Networks, Transmission, Generation & GCC Interconnection.
-Participates in short/long term operation planning activities.
-Participates in short/long term load forecasts.
-Participates in meeting for preparing the maintenance schedules and other activities.
-Responsible for the operation of National Control Center.
-Performs the required Power System Studies.
-Participates in short/long term maintenance schedule for generating Plants (Power Stations).
-On-call 24hrs. for any abnormality/emergency in the Transmission Network.
-Proposes technical suggestions to improve system operations.
-Participates in short/long term solutions to the problems faced by electrical networks.
-Prepares all different types of statistical and technical reports on monthly and yearly basis whenever it is required by higher management.
-Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor.
Qualification Requirements:
Education & Training
B. Sc. / B.E. in Electrical Engineering Degree (full time course) from a recognized University.
Job Experience
-Minimum of 10 to 15 years experience in Power System/ System Control.
-Strong knowledge of Power System Operation.
-Almost 10 years as Control Engineer.
-Knowledge of Computer EMS and SCADA System.
