OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
-B. Sc / B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed University with minimum 12 years experience in the maintenance of similar facilities including experience in testing, commissioning and trouble shooting of Generators.
-Administers requisitions for maintenance supplies, special tools, plant and the like.
-Direct the work of personnel in his charge.
-Maintains equipment history and performance trending records.
-Prepares and submits daily reports to the Company’s representative.
-Compiles Equipment Failure Reports and submits to the company’s representative.
-Must have a valid Kuwaiti Driving License.
-Co-ordinate work functions of the Contractor’s personnel in his area of responsibility including all disciplines. Ensures quality of work and supervision.
-Ensures the implementation of the routine/preventive/breakdown/shutdown maintenance and surveys programme by the Contractor’s personnel to meet the maintenance goals.
-Organises in liaison with the Supervisor and the Company’s Representative earliest completion of any major breakdowns in the field.
-Ensures personnel’s adherence to safe working.
-Knowledge of hazardous area classification and flameproof equipment.
-Provides technical support to the operational functions.
-Advises on improvements that can be made to plant and equipment to increase availability and maintainability.
-Ensures the availability of personnel, tools and test equipment at all times as specified.
-Attends to call-out duty after normal working hours.
-Co-ordinates procurement of spares, tools & consumables from Company’s Stores, local market and Contractor Stores.
-Liaises with company representative on daily basis and as required.
-Liaises with other Company maintenance functions and Company Contractors concerning equipment and items of common interest within their broad scope of work, and as directed by the Superintendent’s Representative.
-Liaises with other Area Engineers and Supervisors within the Contract to ensure efficient utilisation of manpower.
-Thorough understanding of programme scheduling techniques.
-Knowledge in troubleshooting disassembling and reassembling equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, pipes, vessels and the like according to specifications.
-Shall be experienced in the use of Computers and MS Windows and other MS Office applications.
-Knowledge of operating all equipment and tools specified in the contract.
-Knowledge of mechanical projects work, workshop practice and facilities.
Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English language.
-Supervises the maintenance of the complete facility and the works of subordinate staff, including breakdown/shut-down maintenance activities.
-Continually review updated maintenance requirements/procedures.
-Have the ability to compile formal technical reports.
-Possess analytical abilities strongest in diagnostic, eliminative and historical in that order.
