OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
BASIC FUNCTION
-Perform general maintenance fitting duties using hand and machine tools.
-Perform the work of drilling, cutting, re-tubing of heat exchangers, disassembly, repair, assembly & adjustment of valves, scraping, chiselling, filling, lapping, and doing other supplementary tooling to ensure correct fit.
WORK PERFORMED
-Assist in stripping, adjusting and reassembling machinery or mechanical equipment such as all types of jib cranes, metal pipe, various type of valves like gate, globe, relief, pressure safety valve etc.
-Must be skilled in using precision measuring tools and instruments (e.g. micrometers, vernier calipers etc.) dial indicators and making simple conversions from metric to English measurement or vice versa.
-Must be skilled in cutting and shaping of metal parts and fabricating small parts to close tolerance.
-Assist in repair & maintenance of shop equipment.
-Keeps equipment in clean and safe condition.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
-Completion of Intermediate Education followed by formal apprenticeship training in machine work or bench fitting trade for 2 years.
-Four (4) years experience in jobs described in job description above.
-Ability to speak in Arabic or English and read and write in English.
-Shall be well aware of basic refinery safety aspects and use of Personal Protective Equipment.
-Shall have worked in gas plants, refineries and/or chemical plants and have experience in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of all types of plants equipment including rotating and stationary and be able to perform general maintenance fitting duties using hand and machine tools.
