ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION DEPARTMENT
Qualification Requirements:
-BSc. in Electrical Engineering Degree (full time course) from a recognized university with minimum 8 years experience in the construction, operation and maintenance of Primary substations at voltage levels of 220kV, 132kV, 66kV, 33kV and 11kV.
-Experience in indoor, outdoor, GIS, Oil, and Vacuum type of Switchgears, On-Load Tap Changers and Power Transformers & auxiliaries.
Core Functions:
-To be responsible for the switching operations and maintenance as well as breakdown works.
-To supervise substation maintenance crew and Contractor's personnel to ensure compliance of KAHRAMA'A Safety Rules, System Operation Memoranda, and Maintenance Code of Practice.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
-To carry-out switching operations, issue safety documents and supervise maintenance and breakdown repair works by department and Contractor.
-Ensures all works at sites are carried-out in compliance with KAHRAMA'A Safety Rules, System Operation Memoranda and Maintenance Code of Practice.
-Testing of substation equipment.
-Review/comment on document transmittals from Technical Affairs and Electricity Network Planning.
-Review/comment on draft As-built drawings, Operation and Maintenance Manuals submitted by Contractors/Manufacturers.
-Assists his Senior Engineer in preparing defects list and other technical aspects.
-Assists his Senior engineer in preparing scope of works, specifications and evaluation for maintenance contract and purchase related works.
-Commissioning of new substation and extension/ modification to existing substations.
-Conducts monthly site inspection works.
-Verification of contractor’s diary sheets.
-Prepares monthly maintenance reports.
-Standby duty for Substation Rural Area.
-Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor.
